TopConnector is not the source of the information. The app is powered by Melissa Corp, a trusted provider of data quality solutions and services to more than 10,000 companies worldwide.
The information provided by Melissa Corp and accessed through TopConnector app is from various publicly available data sources, such as county and township recording offices, real estate public data recorded by tax, assessor and other recording offices. Public records are maintained by the respective data recording offices and the update frequency varies by data type and source.
Property information, including property ownership data is public knowledge and is not restricted.
TopConnector's databases are updated weekly.
Please note that public records are maintained and updated by the respective public sources, and data update frequency varies by data type and source.
For example, tax assessment data is typically updated by public sources on an annual basis. Deeds are usually recorded from two weeks to three months after closing. In some counties, however, the recording/reporting time could take much longer.
Reporting practices vary from state to state and even within the same state.
TopConnector displays the data as provided by public records and other data sources. Some of these records may be outdated or incorrect. Public data is generally not free from defect. Before relying on any data, it should be independently verified.
Sometimes outdated or missing information may be due to public records and data changes that occurred since the TopConnector last update. This information will be made current in our databases with the next scheduled update or when the updated public records and data are made available by the source.
If you have more timely and accurate information about the property or the property owner than the current public data, you can use Notes to add your info to the property record in the app. You can add text and photos or videos selected from the photos/videos on your device.
No. Getting public records changed requires contacting the respective public office. Changes to the public information associated with a property can only be made based on legal documents of record. The best practice is to make the changes with the relevant public records office and wait until the corrections are updated in the system.
